The encapsulation process allows us to customize dosages for each particular animal. For example, we can take a product that is only available in a 20 mg tablet and make a capsule that contains only 2 mg of the active drug. The compounding process gives us the capability to combine multiple medications into one capsule.

With a variety of capsule sizes we are able to compound a wide range of medications strengths.

Recognizing that it is easier to give animals small capsules we always attempt to use the smallest capsule possible. For those patients on multiple medications we can customize each order in different colored capsules.

What is Compounding?

In short, compounding is customization. Rather than try to fit your pet into the one-size-fits-all mold the pharmaceutical companies developed (i.e. pills with limited available strengths), we are able to take into account your pet’s individual needs (size, age, species, ideal dosage form, flavoring, etc) and customize a preparation to meet their very specific needs. As a compounding only pharmacy, we are not like your typical chain retail operation. We customize each prescription for each pet patient.
